          Free Services for East African Women and their 

        Families run by East African Women.  

 

 

The EAWCO-UK is an Charitable Organisation that works to meet the needs of women and families from the East African Community, particularly refugees and asylum seekers through the provision of:

 

• Advice:

Information, counseling and training to improve the quality of their lives and enhance the lives of their families.

• Awareness:

      To raise awareness of the situation of the East African Women and their

      Families through research, seminars, conferences and publications.

• Immigration:

We explain asylum procedures as well as the Asylum Act and we refer clients to Solicitors.

• Housing:

We write letters of referrals to housing agencies and we give information on housing procedures in the UK.

• Education:

We encourage our client to further their education to ensure a brighter future.

• Health:

We explain the UK Health System and we organize seminars to promote a better health and life.

 

 

We offer free Services:

• Confidential advice and support.
• A “drop in “ facility to meet for a cup of tea and a chat.
• Help in contacting other support agencies.
• A chance to contribute to action for rebuilding East Africans.
• Providing lifelong skills.

 

We also offer other Services:

• Give moral support to newly arrived asylum seekers.
• Organise cultural and educational events.
• Interpreting English to Swahili or Kikuyu.
