A colourful wedding took place in London on Saturday 20th April 2002 between Gichini Njehu and former Miss Jane Wanjiku King'ang'i. The wedding ceremony took place at Calvary Charismatic Baptist Church, London and it was followed a well arranged reception at Dulwich College, South East London. At the church the ceremony was conducted by Rev. Joseph Karanja assisted by Pastor Phyllis Wagura and Catherine Mwangi. The  vows at this well attended church function was conducted in vernacular language which made the occasion to have a takes of its own. It was a version borrowed from the Land of Hakuna Matata.
