A colourful wedding took place on Saturday 26th October, 2002 between Nick Ogendo and the former Miss Helen Okwanyo at Southhall Baptist Church, Western Avenue, Southall. A reception followed thereafter at Featherstone High School Hall, 11 Montague Way, Southall. The function was conducted by Pastor Sao of Global Ministries for Christ, Southhall. The well attended function was crowned with a Luo Christian songs lead by Mrs. Sao:
