Joe Wanjau (above centre) is in London. The property development agent is in a holiday in UK. While in London, he attended a surprise surprise birthday of his old friend Mr. Duncan Kidd Kamanu (left) held in London restaurant on Saturday 16th November, 2002. Duncan did not remember that it was his birthday and it was to his surprise to enter the restaurant to find family and friends singing happy birthday which included his mother (second left) and his old friend Joe. It was quite an excitement as you can see the family photo on right. Duncan started running away as soon as he entered the restaurant as he was met by cheers and merry making. Joe is a property management agent in the city of Nairobi. Joe is the younger brother to Mr. Wangethi Mwangi the Daily Nation Media boss. His email wanjaujoe@yahoo.co.uk.

Bishop Mark and his wife in London for a crusade
Bishop Mark Kariuki of Deliverance Church, Nakuru and his wife Joyce has been in London. While in London they held a two day crusade during the weekend Saturday and Sunday 9th and 10th November, 2002. John K. Mwangi the Chief Executive of Equity Building Society, Nairobi is in London. Mr. Mwangi is visiting London for a week to attend a banking conference in London. Dropping with products from Meru Mr. Kiruki was happy to hold his grand daughter, Shaddai Wanjiru Kiruthi. daughter of Mr. John Kiruthi of SKANSKA Construction, London. Mr. Kiruki grows large scale mangoes for export in Meru. 05/11/02

'Head Girl' is in London
Mrs. Miriam Wanjiku Kagika is in London. Miriam who is popularly known as 'Head Girl' in her church, comes from Mairu Inya, Nyahururu, Kenya. She is the treasurer of AIC Mairu Inya Church. Here Mariam is posing with her grandson Solomon Kagika Kamanu (Junior). The lady came by herself with British Airways from Kenya. Her children in London were happy to hear her narrating the story about her first fleet. "Cucu were you not fearing alone in the plane?", "No," she replied "know God was with me all the way, I even slept in the plane. You know what? We ate four times in the plane." "How were you communicating in the plane?" the children asked "I was using Kiswahili and at least we understood each other except at one point after arrival when I spoke to them in Kikuyu when I missed my luggage - "Wiha murigo wakwa athungu aya?" (where is my luggage?) and at last they got it for me." explained the head girl. 05/11/02
