NB: Please read Bishop Mark Kariuki’s Email concerning Pastor Joyce his wife situation in Nairobi Hospital.

Dear all,

Grace and Peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ.

My wife Joyce was admitted to the Nairobi Hospital ICU on September 4th with a severe attack of pneumonia and was put on a ventilator machine. When they tried getting her off the machine they realized that one of her lungs had collapsed and the other lung was working at only 20% its capacity. We were told this was due as the result of the chemo she has previously gone through.

She has been in the ICU now for two months. We do not have insurance here. The bill at present is 4.8 million Kshs. (US $72,000).

My friends here are working on a fund raising project which is our custom. On November 11th all our Kenyan church family and friends will gather for this function and will be doing all they can financially to help us at this very difficult time.

I'm writing to you inform you of our present situation and to ask your help in relieving us of this great financial burden.  This has been a very difficult time for my family and me.   Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support.

Bless you and Thank you,

Bishop Mark Kariuki

Our dear co workers in Great Britain and all Kenyan friends,

It is with deep sadness to hear the death of our close friend and valiant Soldier Pastor Joyce Kariuki, who died yesterday after a long illness as you have read the Bishop Mark’s email before she died. We will stand with Bishop Mark as we convey our heartfelt love and compassion at this tender time.

Bishop Mark and Joyce is a notable person in God’s service in Kenya and the whole world. You have noted this since he started to visit England since early 1990s to date. Through his ministry (Life Celebration Ministry) In UK, he minister to us and teach all Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. and through his TV program he reaches millions of people in this world. You and my family together we have experience their generosity both spiritual and physical.

Therefore, as we mourn in this moments as we send our sympathy and condolences we will also give our donations because the Bible says in Matthew 7:12; Luke 6:31 (And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise). Also do good and especially those of the household of faith. Galatians 6:10.

As UK friends, we have lost a great friend and a true woman of faith. She is truly in a better place with her Lord Jesus but we mourn with those who mourn. We feel the loss deeply but we stand with you Bishop Mark in Christ.

Bishop Mark and Joyce have sown much, and we will continue to work with you to see a great harvest of souls in your nation.

With our love,

Bishop John Gichiri

And friends in UK

The burial of the late Joyce Kariuki takes place on Saturday 10th November, 2007 at Deliverance Church grounds in Nakuru, Kenya.

1ST YEAR ANNIVERSERY

In Loving Memory of Our Daddy

ALPHAXARD IRUNGU KAMAU

27/12/1969 - 10/10/2006

One year has passed since you went away but in our hearts you will always stay.

Those we love don’t go away but walk beside us everyday.

If we could have one single wish, we’d wish that you were here. To see how times had changed things. God takes the good ones first and He proved it when he took you.

Although our eyes still fill with tears when someone speaks your name; we know that God is with you and one day we’ll meet again. The chains cannot be broken that binds our hearts as one, A husband, a father, a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend they all combine as one.

Say a little prayer for us and help us bear this load, because Alpha, to the world you were just another but to us, you meant the world. Sad are the hearts that love you, silent the tears that that fall, living our lives without you, is the hardest thing of all. We feel so alone without you.

So we send a dove to heaven with a parcel on its wings.

Be careful how you open it, it’s full of beautiful things.

Inside a million kisses wrapped in a million hugs,

It’s from all of us to you Alpha.

And is sent with all our Love.

All our Love,

Your Wife, Daughter, Son, Dad, Brothers, Sisters

In-Laws, Nieces and Nephews.
