and Kenya Post Bank Kenya Ltd.

THE CELEBRATIONS OF THE YEAR

3

Speaking at the occasion, the Ambassador of Kenya to the Fed. Republic of Germany H.E. In this endeavour, the Ambassador assured the Kenyan present that they could count on the full support of the Embassy. He appealed to Kenyans to always remain united, dedicated and discipline in all they do, because as Kenyan nationals outside, they were Ambassadors in their on right. Entertainment was provided by the famous Congolese musician - Kanda Bongo Man, Princess Jullie, from Kenya, Kenyan acrobats  and dancers from various parts of Germany.

Kenyans Get Together Party

 in  Berlin - Germany

the Western Union Money Transfer

SATURDAY, 3RD NOVEMBER, 2001

Kenyans in Austria and Germany gathered for a Get-Together Party organised by Kenya Embassy in Berlin, Germany. It was all a sign of the time to come as every guest enjoyed the occasion. As the Bible says, in order for you to be a leader you must serve others - this was shown in true colour as the Kenya Ambassador in Germany H.E. Frost Josiah  served as the head of security during the party. All went  on well until Sunday morning.

It is girls turn this time

Girls displaying their skills during the function

A show in a foreign land

Mambo bado, mpaka asubuhi?

The performance was so good that the guests did not realise time pass by.

Ms Grace Odhiambo of Western Union Money Transfer who was one of the organisers had to give a speech. As the Leopard dressing shows, she could not forget to tell the guests that Western Union Money Transfer, your money transfers as quick as a Leopard to its destination.

Leo ni leo msema kesho ni muoongo............

Leopard dressing

When two Leopards meets, there is always quick money transfer!

03rd of November was made a date to remember!

In the Bible the Scriptures says, that mchungaji wa Kondo aliye kuwa akichunga kondo 100, alipoteze Kondoo moja, aliitafuta sana mpaka akaipata, na alipoipata alikuwa na furaha mno!

So the Kenyan Embassy staff members in Germany - Berlin found the lost Kenyan culture & community in Germany & its neighbouring countries

i. e Austria on November 03rd, 2001, one by one. hand in hand, in a group of ten, Mama au Baba, Mjomba na ata Mjuku, they were received and everyone was very happy ever after.

The event was created & organised by the Kenyan Ambassador H.E. Mr. Frost Josiah, Ambassador and his staff members

The content of the event was so good that 800 Kenyans had to come to participate! Kenyan know how to enjoy life, everything was free, Free, yaani Free or if not then was on the house!

So it happened and the Western Union as for their policy in investing back in to the community lend a hand.

" This is creativity, who said that Kenyans are not creative outside Kenya, especially if not in the UK or the USA! this part of Europe, we are, and just by action!" remarked Lady Kats, a Kenyan Model in Graz Austria who attended this event,

Remember like father like son, so if H.E is creative, with his support we will are almost there" ? Said Bi Yoka

"We cherished this Day, kwanini lazima tuede home? Aya! kwani ni sa kumi na mbili?" ati "tufige" na ata group photo? hiyo ni sawa Mongai, lakini sisikii kurudi kurara sahi, si tuederehe thu! wondered Wamboi!

At least 8 cities of Germany were represented.

VERDICT

His speech was an enlightenment, we learnt allot we did not know, by the time he winded up, we asked questions that were promptly answered, then it was time to introduce Staff members of the Kenyan Embassy, believe me! all of them were present at the venue, everyone was introduced with his/her respective titles, and this was done by H.E Mr. Frost Josiah, Ambassador of the Federal republic of Germany

THIER ROLES DURNG THIS FUNCTION ,WHY THIS DID THEY MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

The Ambassador and other members from the Visa Department took control of the security

The deputy made sure that everyone had enough food to eat, the food was very tasty Kama vile ya home and was enough for everyone, Kenyans were invited.

The commercial attaché was the Artists director & the promoter,

The Financial attaché was the master of Ceremony,

Secretaries and others took care of the decoration!

They always say that, in odder to market a product successfully, you need to be in the market yourself and so they did.

The bar was run by Kennedy Njiru of the Jambo Cafe in Berlin, a Successful Kenyan, he said the Day was a boost to his business.

Embassy Staff Members - Forging links with the Kenyan Community! What did they offer them?

Qualitative information, i.e a need to register with the mission, 250 Kenyans wanted to be contacted

HOW?

Culture i.e. Chakula ya home, Kenyan; Chakatcha Girls Dance Group, Acrobats, 2 Popular Kenyan DJ´s in Germany & their friendly curtsey!

Thanks to the entire Staff of the Kenyan Embassy in Germany, you made a difference!

Thanks to the Kenyan community for their response, we will meet at the Western union location and sure in Cultural Centre again very soon, oh! yes, meet me with Princess Jully - Dunia Mbaya live on Stage in Boeblingen Stuttgart December 01, 2001, Your 38th JAMHURI Celebration! Thanks to the Western Union.

MESSAGE OF THE DAY

I know that my mother land Kenya is aggressive in prosperity with supporting progress, the results of all the promotions will rise as fast as a money transfer through the Western Union, see the transactions to this corridor ascend in 2001, 2002 & beyond!

END FOR NOW!
