STUDY THE WORD;
Today I want share the recipe of Arise and Shine, You want to Shine? Read the word in and out of season for the word of God is our main food of the spirit man. Can you go for months without food? that is how you cannot do without the word of God. Jesus himself our big brother and our Lord. knew the word and this is clearly shown in the book of Mathew 4.Read the whole chapter for yourself to understand it better,
When he was baptised by John in the river Jordan, he immediately went for fasting for forty days and when he finished Satan confronted him and tested him, but he told him it is written. It shows he knew the scriptures. Apostle Paul in 2nd Timothy 2::15 is telling Timothy his spiritual son Study to shrew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needled not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Psalm 119 :105 says Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. If you want to Shine you have no choice but to Study the word, because its the light unto our feet and the world without is full of darkness. There so many scriptures about the word of God, but I just want to give few examples so that you can read the lest by yourself.
Heb.4:12 says For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
My friend today pick up your bible and start reading . Its not too late for the journey of many miles is started with one step, and you will be amazed how you will discover things for yourself, for the word of God says in the book of Hoses 4:6; it reads "My people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge, because thou hast rejected knowledge I will also reject thee. That thou shall be no priest to me. seeing thou has forgotten the law of thy God I will also forget thy children."
Can you imagine how ignorant does to us when we think it is ok to go to bed without even reading the word and when you wake up in the morning you have no time for the word, due to the daily schedules of work etc.Consequently when you come home in the evening , you go straight to watch the TV, . or read the news and think its normal and when you will be confronted with an issue that is when you will open the word to comfort you or speak to your need..
God does not accept any reason for you not read the word but he is saying you have rejected him and he God will reject you even he will not see you as his priest and he will also reject your children. I think this is the most threatening verse I have read in the bible and I don't want to be rejected by God, I don't mind People rejecting me as long as its well with my soul. Do you know why Christianity has lost its meaning today? because people thinks when they get saved and fit into the group they want to they are qualified for heaven, but let me be frank many are called but few are chosen and it's up to you know which category you fall.
The word of the Lord says its not all those who call Lord! Lord! will enter Heaven. There a criteria's which is to be met to qualify and to be a candidate in Heaven and its only though the reading the word of God and the guldens of the Holy Spirit, our helper.
I will give you few verses to read for yourself about the word so that you can stand firm especially this days where everybody is a preacher and you will not be toasted to and fro and start blaming the gospel of Jesus Christ. I want to repeat again the Anointing is not the qualification either but living a clean Godly fearing life will bring you close to the truth and Spirit of God, its not easy there is a price to pay and if you want to know it call me and we will have a one to one talk.
