Praise the Lord, its Arise and Shine Ministry coming right where you are to share with you the word of the living God.

Our bible readings is from the book of St Luke 8: 22-39;  it says after Jesus preached to the multitude of people in the mountains, He told his disciples lets go on the other side of the lake and they took a boat and got ready to cross on the other side.

Jesus was very tired and immediately when he entered that boat he fell asleep;  and there came dawn a storm of wind on the lake, and they were on the lake: and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. They come to him and awoke him, saying "master, master we are perishing". Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of water: and they ceased, and there was a calm upon the waters.

And he said unto them, "Where is your faith ?" You can finish the rest of the reading because I just want to talk a few things which will hinder you from Arise and Shine.

Number one you cannot shine if you allow (Fear) to dominate your life,  fear is the greatest weapon used by the devil to stop Gods people to excel in things of God. There so many types of fear;  fear of failure, insecurity, fear of death etc .Whatever the fear is a demon, as we see from the scriptures the disciples did not remember they were with the Master in the boat and they were scared to death. You might think how did they forget, after all the miracles they saw him performing in their present.

That is how we are,  we forget that Jesus who is inside us is greater than the devil who is in the world, and when the storms of life comes we start to panic  and crying and even getting depressed instead of calling our master who is very close to us. We spend time trying to do things our own ways and when we reach to an end, that is when we remember Jesus.

I want to tell you the truth whether you like it or not we are living in the world full of surprise and no matter how you try to be good to people and do everything to please them, the devil is not a  respecter  of any person, temptations will come and if you don't have faith in God where will you hide? If you want to Shine don't be men pleasers, because at the end of the day they will abuse you, but if you please God alone and do everything you can to keep his commandment he will reward you no matter what people think or talk about you. So stop any fear and start witnessing to others what God has done for you.

The word fear  is written 366 times in the bible so every day the Lord Jesus tells you not to fear for he's with you and He will not leave you nor for sake you.

The whole of that passage shows that when the wind stops on the other side, there was a man who had devils for along time, and he was wild and no man could pass thorough that place.

When you overcome don't celebrate and think its over. The devil who is like a lion raring looking for something to devour will come with another temptation. Be bold and stand still and see the salvation of our God
