Terrorist bomber aged 14
With a bomb strapped to his chest, a terrorist strides towards a busy checkpoint ready to blow himself up. He is yet another recruit for a suicide mission — despatched by Palestinian guerrilla bosses to cause more carnage. But this time the grim-faced bomber is foiled. And hardened soldiers are stunned to discover he is only FOURTEEN. It emerged he had been paid just £12 to kill himself. But the frightened lad told his captors: “I don’t want to die.” Last night Israel hit out at the way Palestinians were prepared to sacrifice children. Hussam Abdo was wearing a vest packed with explosives as he walked towards Israeli forces at Nablus on the West Bank. But they had a tip-off he was on his way. Soldiers trained rifles on him and ordered him to strip. He struggled to remove his bomb, telling officers: “I don’t know how to get this off.” Lieutenant Tamor Milrad said: “He told us he didn’t want to blow up.” Hussam’s family admitted he was a member of a militant group. But they said he was mentally retarded. Troops have stopped a string of Palestinian youths on terror missions. An Israeli government spokesman said: “Israelis do not understand how Palestinians are willing to sacrifice their own children in order to kill ours.”

East or West home is best says
Hon. Waithaka in London
The MP for Kinangop Hon. Waithaka Mwangi was among the guests in a fundraising event in North London on Saturday 20th March, 2004. The MP who is professionally a lawyer was on his way from America where they Kenyan team had gone on official visits to inspects daily farmers in the US. The outgoing MP addressed the gathering and he updated the Kenyans about the political events back in Kenya. Before addressing the gathering Kenyans in London told him to pass their best wishes to other Kenyans back in Kenya. They informed the MP that they are very much concerned about the change of constitution especially the dual citizenship. "It is a very serious issue as one of this days you might find that a mother is queuing as a foreigner at the airport while the child is queuing in a different area as a resident". one Kenyan at the meeting explained.
The MP was again reminded to pass the request of the Kenyans abroad that they would like a Member of Parliament (MP) who will be representing the needs of the Kenyans abroad and at the same time they would like to be voting while abroad. The soft spoken MP replied that he got the same requests from Kenyans at Boston, US and he will go ahead to present the grievances to the relevant authority. He explained that the Bomas draft constitution did not include the dual citizenship but there is still a chance when it goes to parliament to add or remove some of the issues covered.

Oldest cat in world?
| Britain's oldest cat is celebrating its 33rd birthday. The ancient moggy, who is 231 in feline years, is set to enter the Guinness Book of Records and could even be the most aged cat in the world. Owner Jean Stone said: 'I found him abandoned in a dustbin in east London on March 17th 1971 - and he's been with me ever since. 'I never ever imagined he would live this long, especially after such a horrible start to his life.' Jean, 66, added: "I always remember the date I found him because it was two days before my son Neil's first birthday. 'And I also know that was the day Whiskey was born because he was so tiny, his eyes were closed and had so obviously just been born.' According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the world's oldest living cat is Kataleena Lady, a Burmese which was born on March 11, 1977. |

Wildlife experts in Britain are stunned by the apparent discovery of a frog with three croaking heads and six legs, Local 6 News reported Friday night. The frog was reportedly found at a children's day nursery in the English village of Weston Super-Mare in Somerset, according to the report. The staff at the Green Umbrella nursery first thought it was three frogs huddled together but after closer inspection they realized the frogs were joined together. A wildlife biologist said a reason for the three-headed frog’s development could have been damage to the embryo, according to a report. - (click here different views)

Beatrice Wanjiru |
![]() Another Kenyan Ruth |
By Robert Kellaway & Dave Goddard
The girl who claims she was raped by Leicester City stars told last night how she feared for her life. Ruth Lourenco, 36, agreed, along with her two friends, to be named and pictured for the first time so she could put her side of the story. Then, trembling and sobbing, she described how a fun evening at the luxury Hyatt Regency Hotel bar in La Manga turned to disaster when one of the players forced himself on to her. Still visibly shaken and weeping uncontrollably, she said: "I was crying and telling him to stop. I was shouting for help. I could feel every horrible move he made on me. But I just wasn't strong enough—I thought I would die."
Sleepy
Ruth and her friends, Beatrice Wanjiru, 31, and Martha Wilbert, 37, spoke exclusively to the News of the World last night after the three Premiership stars they accuse—Paul Dickov, Keith Gillespie and Frank Sinclair—flew back from Spain to Britain on bail.
Ruth and Beatrice said things turned nasty when they went to check on Martha, who had felt sleepy and gone to the girls' room—Room 301—with another Leiecester star, Steffen Freund.
Martha said: "I didn't know the correct way back to my room but Steffen showed me and was a real gentleman.
"After taking off my make-up I sat down on the bed and we chatted. I told him I was married and showed him a picture of my daughter.
"He said he was married too, and that was fine."
At this point, Martha says, she heard a huge commotion outside. "I opened the door and all I saw was a fist smash into my face," she told us.
"I fell back into the bathroom screaming."
Naked
The other girls—who, like Martha, live in Germany, said they had been followed to the room by a group of about seven Leicester players who just barged in.
Beatrice said: "As we walked along two of the men grabbed my backside and another yanked my hair, saying it wasn't real.
"When the door opened they just they pushed us into the room and I was shoved to the floor. One of them was naked and trying to have sex with me.
"I screamed at him not to as he was pushing down on me—but I was doing everything I could to stop him having his way.
"I yelled at him to get off and eventually managed to grab him where it hurts and squeeze him very hard—at which point he jumped off.
"The scene in the room was like something out of a movie.
"Some of the players were holding themselves and doing disgusting things. It was awful. They were like wild animals.
"I had a friend back home in Africa who was raped and later died of Aids.
"That was all I could think about and I knew I had to be strong. By then we were all screaming for help."
Ruth claimed another player then pushed her across the room and up against a window.
"One of his mates kicked my feet to open my legs and stared at me, ordering me not to scream," she said. "Then the first one forced himself on me."
Beatrice added: "When it all finished I picked up the phone but one of the men pleaded, ‘Come on, you don't need to tell anybody. It's okay.'
"But when he realised we weren't messing about and were going to tell, he and another one turned nasty and made threats.
One said, ‘I'm filthy rich, if you say anything to anyone we'll find you anywhere, even in Africa, and f*** you up.' "
Ruth said that she was then ordered into the players' room nearby where some were sleeping and others walking around naked.
Ruth said: "One of them told me, ‘It's my turn now'. I looked at him and said: ‘Don't you think I've had enough?' He just walked away laughing."
After complaining to police next day the girls were examined by doctors.
Beatrice was treated for knee and shoulder injuries. Martha had a swollen cheek and eye. Last night lawyers revealed that forensic evidence showed semen had been found on Ruth. (source - News of the World, London).
Women are all well off

All three women in the rape scandal are married and claim they come from respectable backgrounds.
Malawi-born Ruth Lourenco describes herself as a businesswoman and says her husband Jorge, 33, owns a chain of businesses including a nightclub, a hair salon, trucking company and clothing boutiques. They have three children.
Ruth says she is the daughter of a doctor and a midwife and adds: "We are not the richest family but we have never lived in a mud hut either.
"I regularly travel to Hong Kong, Bangkok and London buying clothing and products for my hair salon.
Invited
"I met Beatrice when I was on business in Cologne. I invited her and her friend Martha to come along to La Manga."
Beatrice Wanjiro has no children. She told us she is the daughter of a retired Kenyan farmer. Beatrice was one of the country's youngest city councillors and first woman to be elected to office at 20.
She said her husband Raymond, 42, has a global business manufacturing hi-fi equipment.
Martha is married to a German man who works for the Ford motor company in Cologne.
Her family are based in Nairobi and her father works as a property developer. She has a 10-year-old daughter.
'We were never in Room 301'

Two rooms are at the centre of the Leicester City rape scandal—and the three accused players insist they were NEVER in Room 301 where the women say the rapes took place.
Frank Sinclair, Paul Dickov and Keith Gillespie have instead told a Spanish court that the three women were in 305—Gillespie's room—having a drink and a chat.
The bailed players all deny rape and told the closed hearing the women's injuries were caused when a fight broke out after one of them had insulted Leicester captain Dickov.
A legal source claimed Dickov told Judge Jacinto Areste that he had been grabbed around the neck by one of the women after she told him "You are very short and I bet you have a little d***."
Dickov claimed he retorted: "You have a fat bottom". Then he said the woman replied: "Your wife would love to have a bottom like mine."
Sex
The 5ft 5in player told the judge the woman attacked him after he said: "No, my wife is tall and beautiful."
At that point Sinclair and Gillespie say they jumped in to separate them and ushered the girls out of the room with the help of Steffen Freund, who had come in to see what the noise was about. Freund is the only player to confess to having had some sexual contact with one of the girls —Martha—earlier in the evening.
The married German player claimed he went back with her to Room 301 and then returned to his own room afterwards.
He told the court there was a gap of 15 minutes before he heard the Dickov bust-up in Gillespie's room.
Last night Leicester City spokesman Paul Mace said: "The players have consistently maintained their innocence and cooperated.
"They would like to give their story to the public but have been advised by legal representatives not to say anything."
We are NOT hookers
By Robert Kellaway & Dave Goddard
THE three La Manga girls last night angrily hit back at attacks on their characters and insisted: "We're NOT hookers."
They DENIED their clothes were tarty and MAINTAINED they had checked into the £300-a-night Hyatt Regency Hotel in La Manga, Spain, at the invitation of wealthy golfing friends.
And when confronted with the picture of Martha Wilbert wrapping her leg around Frank Sinclair in the bar the night of the alleged rape they swore she was performing a traditional African dance.
While the girls admit they were dressed sexily that night in short skirts and tight tops they claim they were not out to snare men.
"Why shouldn't we wear these clothes?" challenged Beatrice Wanjiro. "They're designer clothes. We're all young girls with long, beautiful legs.
Mix-up
"Our husbands are fine with what we wear. It was evening and we were dressing for ourselves and nobody else.
"What we wear is our business. We didn't go looking for these footballers. They came to us."
Although Ruth Lourenco claims she is a legitimate businesswoman in her home country of Malawi, she admitted she was once charged with a vice offence by cops.
She described it as a mix-up and said that she was cleared.
"I was travelling to London from Malawi and was approached at the airport by a woman I know who it appears was involved in some way," said Ruth.
"She was asking two girls to fly to Amsterdam and as it turns out they were involved in prostitution. All I was asked to do was to help them get to the transit desk in London, which I did.
"When the police came to investigate this my name was linked to the whole case. But they quickly discovered I had nothing to do with it and that was the end of the matter."
Fighting back tears, Beatrice described how the girls came to be in La Manga at the same time as the Leicester City squad were there for their mid-season break.
"I have friends in Germany who play golf and wanted us to come over and join them at a tournament," she said. "They paid for our flights and our hotel room—Room 301."
The trio arrived on Saturday, February 28 and were due to stay for 48 hours before flying home from Alicante.
On their first day they joined their friends at a dinner to celebrate the end of the tournament.
The next night they decided to go for a meal and booked the hotel shuttle bus to take them to a nearby Italian restaurant.
Martha said: "When we walked through hotel reception there was a big crowd of men stood there but we didn't pay them much attention.
"But during our meal the same crowd arrived and sat at a nearby table." It was the Leicester City squad.
Immediately defender Frank Sinclair, also black, yelled across: "Hey sisters, where are you from?"
Beatrice said: "We saw this black boy shouting at us but we thought it was okay, he was being friendly. So we shouted back ‘Hi brother' and told him that we were from Germany.
"He said his friend was German and introduced us to Steffen Freund.
"He started chatting to us in German, asked us where we were from and we told him Cologne. Then Frank Sinclair came and asked us our names. The conversation was quite short because we were heading back to the hotel.
There we had a dance in the piano bar."About an hour or two later the girls heard a shout of: "Hey sisters!" It was Sinclair and his group again.
Beatrice said: "We danced with them. That photograph where Martha has her leg up and Frank Sinclair is holding it, was a traditional African dance."
Martha added: "It's Kenyan and called a Dunbolo. Anyone from Africa will recognise it. All the girls do it over there. Maybe Frank fancied me but I didn't think so.
"We all thought he preferred Beatrice because he said he liked women with big bottoms. I didn't think about him like that. I thought he was a gentleman."
Scandal
When the bar shut the girls carried on partying with the players in the hotel's casino.
While some of the players were coy about what they did and just said they were on holiday, Steffen Freund revealed to the girls that they were all footballers.
Soon Martha, who had had quite a lot to drink, was feeling tired and kept falling asleep. Beatrice said: "We decided she should go back to our room and Steffen offered to escort her back."
And that, they say, was when the light-hearted tone of the evening changed.
Since the scandal erupted last week ex-Sheffield United star Ville Lehtinen, 25, has claimed he had sex with Martha earlier at the hotel.
But last night she vehemently denied it, saying the player was drunk and had tried to seduce her but she refused. "We didn't even kiss," she said.

Two Kenyan women are said to have been raped
Two Kenyans are among three women said to have been gang-raped by British footballers in a horrific attack in Spain. The two women and their Malawian friend accuse the footballers of breaking into their hotel room and sexually assaulting them. The Kenyans, one aged 31 and the other 37, said they were subjected to a terrible rape ordeal when the nine Leicester City footballers broke into their room at the luxury La Manga Club in Southern Spain. "They stood around applauding and baying like wolves," the women’s lawyer quoted her clients saying of the players. Three Leicester City soccer players were jailed in Spain last Friday pending investigations into allegations of sexual assault while other six who had been arrested were released later. Paul Dickov, Frank Sinclair and Keith Gillespie were imprisoned pending further investigations into claims they broke into the Spanish hotel room and sexually assaulted the three women. The three players are accused of sexual assault, breaking and entering and failure to provide assistance. All three are held at the sex offenders’ wing of Sangorena Prison in Spain. They deny accusations of assault said to have taken place in the early hours of last Monday. The details emerged in court documents leaked to a newspaper last night. Dickov, Sinclair and Gillespie have been charged with rape. They could face up to 14 years in jail if convicted.

SOCCER star Paul Dickov raped a woman while she was pinned against a wall by his team-mate Keith Gillespie, it was claimed last night. The 31-year-old Leicester City captain then threatened to kill her and two of her friends if she told police, she has alleged. According to leaked court documents, a 36-year-old woman from Malawi has claimed that Dickov grabbed her by the neck and flung her to the ground. It is claimed that one Leicester player applauded Dickov during the alleged attack. Gillespie, 29, also threatened he would fling her from the window of her third-storey hotel room, she claimed. One of the other women, from Kenya, told police investigators that she made a desperate attempt to fight off Dickov.
It is claimed she scratched him with her nails, causing him to bleed from the neck and face. Detectives were told by the alleged rape victim that another Leicester player Frank Sinclair, 32, tried to force himself on her friend. She told them he tried to take off her clothes and flung her on the floor. She said Sinclair lost a brown leather bracelet during an alleged struggle, and it is said she handed it to police when making her rape claim. The alleged rape victim said that Nikos Dabizas, 30, was a witness to her alleged ordeal at the luxury La Manga resort, but said he did not take part. She also claimed Lilian Nalis walked around the room naked. The two Kenyan-born women are aged 31 and 37. All three live in Cologne, Germany. The 37-year-old told police Sinclair began the alleged chain of events by approaching them in an Italian restaurant.

Court papers allege he got German player Steffen Freund to crack the language
barrier. Freund is thought to have been among nine players who visited the
alleged rape victim’s hotel room, but he left without going inside. The details
emerged in court documents leaked to a newspaper last night. Dickov, Sinclair
and Gillespie have been charged with rape. All deny the allegation, but could
face up to 14 years in jail if convicted.
At least one player admitted having sex, but said it was consensual, according
to a local newspaper reporter who claimed to have seen their statements to
police. The mystery surrounding the rape claims deepened yesterday with the
publication of a picture showing Sinclair grinning at one of the sexily-dressed
women while caressing her leg as she snuggled up to him. The three women were
with specially-trained cops at a secret location in Spain yesterday. All have
been told they will not be allowed back to Germany until the police
investigation has progressed further. They will be quizzed in private by a
Spanish judge later today. Police say one claims she was raped, while the other
two insist they were molested.
TWO of the three women live on a grim housing estate in German city Cologne that is home to impoverished immigrant workers. The trio have been variously described as housewives, models, dancers and PR consultants. The first is Kenyan-born, 37, and married with two children – a boy of 14 and girl, ten. She lives with her German husband in a flat on the estate. They have lived in the area – mainly populated by Turkish immigrants – for about 13 years. The couple pay around £300 a month for the top-floor flat in the four-storey complex in the sprawling concrete estate. The second woman, also Kenyan, is 31. She lives a short distance away with a German man. The third woman is a 36-year-old from Malawi. She is married and is thought to have been staying in Cologne while working at an embassy.
