A former soldier in UK who had surgery to become a woman is now planning more operations to change back into a man - with the NHS footing the £50,000 bill. Ex-Paratrooper Willie Wotherspoon endured hours of painful surgery to be transformed into a woman in 2002. Yet after three years living as Lisa-Anne Dochesty, the 39-year-old father of five has decided his first operation was a mistake and has been told the taxpayer will fund further highly complicated surgery to restore his manhood. He has already had consultations with a leading NHS surgeon in London who has the expertise to make him a man again. He paid for himself £13,000 the first surgery in 2002.

Meet Graham ole Siparo from Bristol, UK

He is selling his 12-bedroom house for £1.2 million to move for good to Kenya

Graham ole Siparo has sold all his clothes to wear Maasai attire henceforth

Most people return from Kenya with photos of giraffes and lions, and tales of their time on safari. But one millionaire has come back with the title of elder of a Masai tribe. Graham Pendrill is the first white person to gain such an honour from the group after solving a potentially violent inter-tribal dispute while on a month-long trip to the East African country last year. During the official ceremony in January, Mr Pendrill had to drink bull's urine and had a cow sacrificed in his honour. Since returning, he has worn his Masai clothes while going about his business in his home town of Almondsbury, near Bristol, UK. The 57-year-old bachelor, who was given the tribal name Siparo meaning 'brave one', often wanders down his local High Street wearing nothing but a robe and sandals. 'People can call me eccentric - it doesn't bother me,' he said. 'When I got home my ordinary clothes just felt odd. 'I've had some sideways looks and a difficult moment in a Bristol pub, but most people are polite,' he added. Mr Pendrill, an antiques dealer, has given his suits to Oxfam and plans to sell his £1.2million mansion so he can move to Kenya to live in a mud hut with the Masai later this year. 'I've developed a huge respect and affection for the people there. It's a real honour to be an elder,' he said.

About eleven Kenyans living in the UK have declared their interest so far to vie for the parliamentary elections in Kenya in 2007. Most of them have already started their homework while others are still on the drawing board. On the frontline is Mr. Dedan Mwenda Gichuhi who is going for Subukia Constituency Member of Parliament in 2007. Hon. Mwenda, a businessman in London want to give back what he received from his constituency and he want to help several projects in his area. "You know Mr. Seed, the worst fool is the one who has a vision and just talk and talk and never acts towards his vision. I want to pursue my vision." declares Mr. Mwenda. A large number of his friends in London and in Kenya have pledged to help him either by prayers, finance or materials. One of his friends in Kenya has pledged to give him three buses for campaign. Mheshimiwa Mwenda, a hardworking man lives in London with his family of five.

Another candidate who has confirmed to vie for the 2007 elections is Kenya is Mrs. Rose Claw, a Kenyan lady living in London. She want to vie in Kirinyaga where she has been doing a lot of homework with young people of late. She has also assisted with piped water project in her location. A very aggressive lady Rose has this to say: "Kenya parliament is full of old generation group. We want to make a change for the young generation to take power. The problem with the old generation is that they are not ready for change. They want you do what they want whether you are for it or not. It's time for a change."  Another MP in waiting for 2007 election is Mheshimiwa Henry Ngei, son of the late Paul Ngei. He will be contesting in Kangundo. This is what he told Mr. Seed in Oxford, UK recently:  "Kuja hapa Bwana Mbegu, huwezi kusalimia MP in Waiting for Kangundo." Several other candidates have declared their interest but they want to hold their horses first before they become public.

Two sets of twins from Kenya cause double vision at HMS Raleigh

Royal Navy instructors at HMS Raleigh have been seeing double with not one, but two sets of identical twins undergoing training at the Service establishment in Torpoint, UK.

Brothers Tom and Kieran Wilson, aged 20 from Rotherham and the Cheluget twins, David and Jonah, aged 27 from Kenya, have been baffling staff and their fellow trainees with numerous cases of mistaken identity.

Tom, who is training to be a Communications Technician, was the first of the Wilson twins to join up and has just completed his eight week phase one training course to turn him from a civilian into a sailor. He was joined on the parade ground for his passing-in-parade by his brother Kieran, who as an Artificer Apprentice was with the platoon of week six trainees.

Kieran said: “We both had the idea to join the Navy and were biding our time after we left school. There have been many occasions when people have come up to me and started talking and I’ve had to say ‘sorry I don’t know who you are, you probably want my brother.’ “ Tom added: “Or they’ve accused me of being in the wrong uniform for the next lesson. It has been good though because we’ve got to know more people with us both making friends with the people in each other’s Division. After Raleigh we will both move on to HMS Collingwood for the next part of our training.”

The Cheluget twins are both training to be Stores Accountants. David joined-up in February and has already completed his phase one training course and is now part way through his professional training, known as phase two, within HMS Raleigh’s Logistics School. Despite being the twin who first expressed an interest in joining the Royal Navy, Jonah only started his training three weeks ago.

Jonah said: “David was meant to join the Army, but then jumped ship and got into the Navy before me because I picked up an injury. People keep mistaking me for him and asking why I’m back in phase one.” David said: “It felt a bit strange at first with him being in phase one and me being in phase two. We are not competitive, but he did better than me on the run.”

Both sets of twins have enjoyed seeing a very familiar face and having their brother to turn to for encouragement while they have been under training. As Kieran Wilson put it: “Why would I be homesick when I’ve got my best buddy here with me?”
