African Travel Centre reception in London

on Thursday 18th September, 2003

On Thursday  night 18th September, 2003 the Africa Travel Centre held a reception, in conjunction with British Airways, at the Governor House Hotel. The "Taste of Africa" evening was a celebration of all things about African, and was a chance for the UK press and media to meet with invited dignitaries and the staff of the Africa Travel Centre and British Airways. Guests were welcomed by a traditional Nigerian drumming band, before canapés and cocktails were enjoyed. Amongst their ranks was His Excellency Daniel Koikai, the acting Kenya High Commissioner, who was able to attend. The Africa Travel Centre is one of the UK's leading specialists in offering low-cost airfares to all parts of Africa. The staff number 5 different African nationalities amongst their ranks, and between them speak English, Kikuyu, Swahili, French, Yoruba and Afrikaan! Leo Muigai Nganga and Joyce Kanja look after the needs of their fellow Kenyans' travel needs and will always try to provide the very best service at the very best price. The evening was a great success with all parties commenting on the wonderful atmosphere and ambience. The theme at the reception was "A Touch of Africa"
