A group of church members of Calvary Charismatic Baptist Church, London participated in a three months Bible Study Courses. The courses taught by Spurgeon's College are based on Gospel and Culture. The courses had been sponsored by the church. On Sunday 3rd February 2002 the College representatives visited the church to present the participating candidates with certificates of Attendance and Participation.

A SEMINAR FOR EQUAL OPPORTUNITY
Trying to understand the UK Job Market
Several Kenyans attended a three-day course at Ilford, Essex, UK starting on Monday 28th January 2002. The Job Search Course organised by Sahara Communities Abroad aims to help them enhance their understanding of the UK Job Market and Culture. In addition the course will assist them in understanding what employers are looking for, skills audit and how to market skills to prospective employers, what is a CV, and the different ways of presenting a CV, how to present career history in a positive clear concise form. Again the course will help them in analysing job advertisements, phrases and vocabulary, searching for job using internet, newspapers, magazines, job adverts etc., ongoing employment support and understanding equal opportunity. Perez Oching (third left) one of the director of Strategy and Planning in Sahara Community Abroad joined the participants for a group photo. Another course of its type is coming up in March 2002. Mr. & Mrs. Isaac Mwangi (second and third left) of London receiving an air ticket from their family and friends to enable them travel to Kenya to attend their mother's, (Isaac Mwangi's mother), the late Margaret Kabura Mwangi funeral which will be held on 2nd February 2002 at Wanjengi Village, Weithaga Location, Murang'a District. The couple left London for Kenya on Saturday 26th January 2002.
