Kenyans London Rural News 2002

Several people have passed away in London in the month of January 2002 and at the same time many relatives and friends of Kenyans in London have passed away back home. Kenyans have been meeting in different parts of UK and especially in London to comfort the bereaved. Below are some of these meetings - 16/01/02.

 

A week of sorrow in London

Family and friends of Mr. & Mrs. Solomon Mugera (third and fourth  right) met in London on Saturday in their house at Dagenham, Essex to console him following the death of his father, Mr. Erastus Omollo Mujenyi in Kakamega, Kenya. Solomon works with BBC World Service in London. His father will be buried on Saturday 19th January at Mahanga Village, Vihiga District, Maragoli, Kenya. He is survived by 9 children - 3 girls and 6 boys. Among those who went to comfort Mr. & Mrs. Mugera were from left standing: Mr. Sam Ochieng (Kenya Community Support Network), Julius Mbaluto, Florence Mboya, Mrs. Mugera, Solomon Mugera (BBC), Frank Gutwa - Sitting from left: Rev. They all came with a message

Family and friends gathered in London at Misterseed's house to comfort Misterseed and his wife Pastor Jane Njiiri popurlarity known as Misterseed.Mrs following the death of his brother Mr. Geoffrey Kiorio back in Kenya. Kioria passed away after a show illness on 7th of January 2002.

Rev. Francis Sarpong (standing)  - Senior pastor of Calvary Charismatic Baptist Church in London, joined friends to comfort the Misterseed's family.

 

Mzee Njora who is currently visiting his sons in London came with his wife to comfort Misterseed and his family. He comes from Lichau, Nyahururu Kenya.

Mrs. Njora also joined the husband Mr. Njora to cofort the SEEDs - "I know your family very well the old lady told Misterseed".

 

On behalf of Githaiga's family he we come

Mrs. Nelly Wanjiru Mwangi of the famous teachers agency BODMAS came to conform Misterseed's family.

Pole sana mzee

Rev. Isaac Thuo (left) was among the visitors who went to comfort the father of the late Ann Njeri Ngugi who passed away at St. Mary Hospital, Paddington, London on 3rd January 2002. From right is Joe Mwai their neighbour back home in Kenya, Mzee Godfrey Ngugi Kaguru from Kamandura, Kiambu, Kenya, Brian who is the father of Ann Njeri's daughter  and Mr. Ngugu who is Ann nephew.

 

Family and friends of the late Ann Njeri Ngui joined his father Mr. Godfrey Ngugi Kaguru in Kulburn, London to make arrangements for her burial. 8/01/02. The meeting goes on until further notice. (see orbituaries).
