A show down drama in a London church

There was a show down drama in London on Saturday 30th July 2005 where a firery Kenyan preacher was preaching. Apostle James Maina Ng'ang'a one of the most popular preachers in Kenya today arrived in London last week for the weekend Summer Crusade in London. The crusade  was to bheld at Holy Trinity Church, in South Woodford as from 29th July to 31st July 2005. His first day in the crusade was met with a terrible heckling by a Pastor in charge of the premises who confronted the visiting preacher at the platform demanding that there should be no offering in the church. "There should be no money giving to an individual in the church, that is against the principles of the Bible, you cannot sell preaching. The money collected should be used to help the poor in Africa." the Church of England explained as he shouted in front. The saga started when a Apostle Nganga started narrating about himself and where God has taken him through. "I have been very poor. I have been jailed 20 times before my salvation. I used to preach with a bicycle, going hungry sometimes. I am not well educated as you can hear my broken English.

But God has been good to me and he has promoted me - having his anointing which goes beyond everything else in my life. God has made me rich. I have five cars. I am building a KShs. 10 million house in Karen with a swimming pool. My problem every morning is to select the car to use that day out of my five cars." Apostle Nganga explained. "Before I start my anointing service I want you to give your offerings, I am not begging you to give, you have to give." the preacher explained. It was at this juncture that the pastor of that church rose to his feet shouting. "No offering! the Bible says nothing about selling of the anointing, I cannot stand this again. I am going and tomorrow you look for another place because I am shutting down this place." the Church of England pastor shouted. The Kenyan preacher went ahead with his anointing service as the church of England  resident pastor sat down looking as the events unfolded. The offering was later collected by Pastor Odima the wife of the Church of England pastor rushed in front trying to block the congregation to give but the congregation who were  happy dancing  as they gave. The meeting had been organised by Pastor Odima and Pastor Jacob Kuria. The meeting was moved to a different venue the following day Sunday 31st July 2005.

"Fuja mifupa kama meno iko" says Eva. Tee as she celebrates her 50th birthday

Enjoy life if you can. Fuja mifupa kama meno iko. The occasion was well attended than a wedding. It was well arranged with hundreds of guests in attendance. A dressing code was something to go by. 50th birthday of Evangelist Tee Byera held at Drayton Minor High School in West London. A beautiful big cake decorated in all colours comprising of several small cakes was in display. Family and friends came from all corners for the occasion. The Kenyan lady and her friends dressed for the occasion with a Nigerian style headgear. It was colourful, it was executive, it was well arranged and above it was well attended. "Many people calls family and friends to celebrate in bars with beer but for me I have invited friends and church ministers to celebrate my 50th birthday. What else can you can you ask in life Mr. Seed. I thank God today for I am 50 years old. Whatever a man is working for is to enjoy himself or herself in life. The rest of your hard work will leave them behind. Enjoy life if you can." the jovial Evangelist Tee explained. During the function Evangelist Tee and her family were played for and she concluded by cutting a birthday cake of the year. It is quite unusual to see a Kenyan spending that much for a birthday.
