A 3,000 seater church in Elburgon, Kenya
Rev. Samuel Muya of Talents Revival Centres in Elburgon, Kenya came to the UK in March, 2003 to solicit for funds to build a church for his congregation back in Kenya after facing eviction by the landlord. His aim was to go and buy a plot and build a church according to his specifications to tally up with the modern days. After a fundraising in April last year organised by Kenyans in London he was given about one million Kenya shillings to start the work. He went back home and did just that. One year down the line he has done an impressive job and the congregation could not wait to move to their new premises but they have already moved into the new premises without the roof. He is now appealing to friends to help them complete the construction of their church as they have now exhausted all the funds. He is planning to come to the UK in the month of May 2004 for further fundraising to complete the building. His contact is 0734745609 or 002545131252 - email samuelmuya2003@yahoo.com

She has been working at bishop's office in Kiambu as Diocesan Mission and Evangelism co-ordinator and that why she was in Uganda with other officials. For more information you can contact Ven. Kenya-UK Anglican Fellowship
Following the visit of the Anglican Archbishop Benjemin Nzimbi in the UK in December last year, then followed by the recent visit in January, 2004 by four Bishops from Mt. Kenya East Diocese the river has started flowing. The Kenyan Anglican community have started gathering themselves around the UK for a weekly fellowship to bring the seed of the Anglican alive again in the UK. According to the secretary of the organisation Mr. Martin Wahinya the Kenya Anglican Fellowship will be meeting on Sunday afternoons in East Ham, London. The team is lead by Ven. Kahara and the coordinator Ms Elizabeth Kangethe. On Sunday 8th February, 2004 Rev. Kamuyu from Kingsbury, West London was the guest speaker at the fellowship. Rev. Kamuyu preached about the tongue. "You need to guard your mouth, your mouth can destroy and your mouth can build. A lot of Kenyans in the UK and elsewhere have suffered because of the misuse of their mouth. You know your Kenyan friend who you never like to see because he said this and that about you...." Rev. Kamuyu continued to explain. Those who want to communicate can do so by phone 07903543995.

Evangelist Theresa Wairimu from Nairobi, Kenya concluded her revival crusades in London with a dinner with guests on Monday 2nd February, 2003. The evangelist arrived in London on Wednesday morning and held a series of meetings in London on Thursday and Friday summarising it with the weekend revival meetings at Emanuel Centre. A well attended women meeting was also held on Saturday morning at the same venue. The preacher preached from Isaiah 60:1 "Arise, shine; for your light has come! Before he began his evidence, Prof Mbithi who had earlier described himself as a farmer and a prophet, told the packed hall that he had decided to testify because, "In Leviticus, Chapter Five, Verse One it is written: 'If a person sins because he does not speak up when he hears a public charge to testify regarding something he has seen or heard about, he will be held responsible.' And that is God who will hold you responsible, the society and this commission."
President Moi was on Thursday 22/01/04 named as the man who ordered Sh5.8 billion of public money to be moved to private Goldenberg accounts. The order was given casually by telephone to the then Civil Service head Philip Mbithi who was told to pass it on to Treasury chief Wilfred Koinange. The dramatic disclosure came from Prof Mbithi during evidence to the Goldenberg Inquiry yesterday in which he also gave a fascinating insider's account of life in the Moi State House – "riddled with corruption and infighting". It was in similar circumstances, he revealed to the commission, that President Moi Moi telephoned him in his Harambee House office from Mombasa and ordered him to find Dr Koinange "and tell him to transfer the Sh5.8 billion through CBK." Prof Mbithi said he was told to ask Dr Koinange to ensure the instructions were carried before 5pm that same day.
